What you're signing up for
Flathead Lake is one of the largest freshwater lakes west of the Mississippi, and it's been Cameron's home water for 30+ years. A full-day charter is the right call when you want time to work multiple structures, switch tactics, and target the biggest fish the lake holds. We launch out of the Harbor Grille dock in Lakeside, run wherever the bite is strongest, and bring you back at the end of the day with a cooler of cleaned, bagged fish ready for the grill.

Lake Trout
Lake Trout are a large, slow-growing fish that thrives in cold, deep waters throughout North America. They are beautiful fish, with dark green or brown backs and silver or light gold bellies and orange lower fins. They can live up to 60 years and are commonly measured up to 20 inches and 7 pounds, but can be significantly larger.

Whitefish

The lake
Flathead Lake is the largest natural freshwater lake west of the Mississippi — nearly 200 square miles of cold, clear water cradled by the Mission and Swan ranges. It's deep (over 370 feet in places), which is exactly why it grows the lake trout and whitefish we chase, and why the fishing holds up all year.
The setting
You'll launch from Lakeside on the quiet west shore, 25 minutes south of Kalispell and a short drive from Glacier National Park. Cherry orchards line the eastern shore, bald eagles work the shallows, and Wild Horse Island sits right in the middle of it all — it's as good a place to spend a day as Montana has.

Getting here
Fly into Glacier Park International (FCA) in Kalispell — about 25 minutes from the dock. Missoula (MSO) is roughly two hours south. We meet at the Harbor Grille dock in Lakeside and send exact directions when you book.
Where to stay
Lakeside and Somers put you minutes from the boat. Bigfork (charming downtown, great dining) and Whitefish (resort town, nightlife) are both 20–35 minutes out. Book early in summer — the valley fills up fast.
Food & supplies
Harbor Grille is right at the dock for a meal before or after. Grab your license, snacks, and any last-minute gear in Lakeside or Kalispell — we handle the rods, tackle, and bait.
Make it a trip
You're 45 minutes from Glacier National Park, so pair your charter with a day on Going-to-the-Sun Road. Add a Wild Horse Island cruise for the non-anglers, or book a second day and we'll fish new water.

What will we catch on Flathead Lake?+
Lake trout (mackinaw) are the main target year-round, with whitefish and the occasional northern pike. A full day gives us time to work the biggest fish the lake holds.
Do you clean the fish?+
Yes — fish cleaning and vacuum bagging are included. You leave the dock with grill-ready fillets.
How many people can come?+
Up to 6 anglers. Pricing is per person and everyone fishes.
What happens if the weather turns?+
It's the captain's call and safety comes first. If we cancel for weather, you're rebooked or fully refunded.
